People at the heart of the action

At Pro-Crêpes, it all starts with a love of crêpes. A ladle, a wooden Rozell, the precise movements of a craftsman... and above all, the desire to please. We believe that every crêpe deserves to be perfect, with its own unique texture, color, and taste, while respecting the traditional techniques of the artisan. Our mission is to reinvent the relationship between man and machine, to achieve greater serenity and fluidity in our work, without ever sacrificing the quality or soul of the product.

Every solution we design puts people at the heart of the process. Our equipment is designed to simplify work, reduce physical strain, and preserve artisanal know-how, while being slow but efficient, without creating urgency or pressure. It allows a single person to prepare crepes independently and with peace of mind. Crepe makers can thus focus on the essentials: creativity, taste, and the pleasure of sharing an authentic product, faithful to tradition, while maintaining a comfortable and steady pace.

Frédéric tells you about it

The history of Pro-Crêpes

Smiling man with a beard, posing with his hand on his face in an industrial setting.

I started my first business in 2011 in the Drôme region, specializing in industrial maintenance for the food industry. In 2014, I moved to Brittany and discovered the fascinating world of crêpes. I felt the need to get closer to the world of craftsmanship and rediscover a more human pace of life. Working on merry-go-rounds and in crêperies quickly brought me face to face with the limitations of conventional equipment: it was not easy to respect traditional craftsmanship while ensuring a profitable production rate.

Faced with these constraints, I sought a simple and effective technical solution to meet the needs of crepe makers. After numerous trials, we developed a flexible high-temperature surfacing device capable of consistently reproducing the artisanal finish and allowing a return to manual operation in a matter of seconds, without interrupting production. This is how our approach was born, serving artisans and their expertise.

Understanding constraints to better respond to them

The crêpe industry faces many challenges: demanding working days, a shortage of skilled staff, traditional equipment that is unsuitable for artisanal production, and economic pressures. These obstacles complicate the takeover of small crêperies and make it more difficult to maintain consistent artisanal quality while preserving traditional methods.
